The included twist drill bit chuck can be used to sharpen common bit sizes from 3/32 inch to 1/2-inch to a standard 118-degree point—regardless of whether they’re English, metric, or letter-gauge bits (including high-speed steel, TiN-coated, cobalt, carbide, and masonry bits). The DDSB also hones spade bits from 1/4 inch to 1-1/2 inches—including the most popular types of spade bits (with spurs, without spurs, screw points, skew cutters, and small spear-point bits. The two sharpening modules are equipped with a user-friendly precision alignment system that ensures consistent results.
